Tips for Glowing Skin in Summer

Introduction

You know that you have to take care of your skin, but sometimes it’s hard to know exactly what you need to do. There are a lot of tips and tricks out there, so I thought I’d share some of mine with you!

drink water

One of the best ways to keep your skin looking good is by drinking plenty of water. The recommended intake for most adults is eight glasses a day, but it can vary depending on how much exercise you do and what climate you’re in.

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor about adjusting your daily fluid intake so that both mother and baby stay hydrated–and glowing!

wear sunscreen

  • Wear a sunscreen with SPF 30+.
  • Apply sunscreen 20 minutes before going outside.
  • Reapply it every 2 hours if you’re going to be outside for a long time or are swimming, sweating, or toweling off with a towel that hasn’t been washed in hot water since it touched your face.
  • Apply sunscreen to your face and neck, as well as hands and arms (if you’re not wearing sleeves).

eat healthy foods

  • Eat more fruits and vegetables. Drinking water is a good way to keep your skin hydrated, but it’s also important to eat foods that are high in water content. Fruits like watermelon and oranges are full of antioxidants that help prevent wrinkles, while dark leafy greens like spinach contain vitamins A and C which promote healthy skin cells.
  • Avoid processed foods as much as possible: they’re loaded with preservatives and other chemicals that can irritate sensitive skin types (like yours). If you must have something pre-packaged, choose products labeled “natural” or “organic.”
  • Eat fish regularly — preferably oily varieties like salmon, mackerel and sardines since these have more omega-3 fatty acids than leaner fish such as cod or tilapia (which are high in protein). These acids reduce inflammation throughout the body including on your face so eating them regularly will help keep breakouts at bay!

sleep more than usual

Sleep is a vital part of your body’s rejuvenation process, and you need at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Your skin will look more radiant if you get enough rest, so try to get more sleep on the weekends.

  • Sleep helps your body recover from the stresses of the day

Sleep helps you deal with stress better by lowering cortisol levels in the morning (cortisol is known as “the stress hormone” for good reason). This means that when it comes time for work or school again, you won’t feel as tired or irritable because sleep has given your brain time to recover from all its hard work throughout the week!

Your skin can look better when you take care of it.

You can make your skin look better by taking care of it. Here are some tips:

  • Drink more water than usual, especially if you’re sweating or exercising a lot. This will help keep your skin hydrated and reduce the chance of developing wrinkles or acne.
  • Wear sunscreen every day to protect against sun damage and premature aging, as well as reducing the risk of skin cancer (which is especially important for people with fair skin).
  • Eat healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables that contain antioxidants, which help fight off free radicals that cause aging by neutralizing them before they do any damage.
  • Sleep more than usual during summer months–the increase in daylight hours means we usually get less sleep than we need!

Conclusion

We hope that these tips have helped you understand how to keep your skin looking its best during the summer months.
